About Me

Experience:

I have been qualified and practicing as a sports massage practitioner for over 6 years. I work with a range of other professionals in different practices including physiotherapists, podiatrists, personal trainers and coaches. I have a wide range of clients, some from various sporting disciplines including runners, cycling, rock climbing, badminton, squash, tennis, judo and Kendo.

I carry out full assessments with clients before treatment takes place and am always mindful of my professional limitations and ethical guidelines.

I spent 4 seasons as the massage practitioner for Gateshead Football Club, providing the players with pre and post match massages at training sessions and home and away matches. I work closely at all times with the full-time physiotherapist and club doctor.

I have the opportunity to work with a number of clients who are elite, full time athletes. These include professional footballers, a runner a motor bike racer and a golfer. I have attended a number of athletics meetings with Gateshead Harriers as their massage practitioner where I have provided sports massage to the athletes from different disciplines and represent their clubs (Gateshead Harriers and Belgrave Harriers).

I have recently had the opportunity to work with and provide sports massage services to a professional cycle team at a national 24 hour off-road mountain bike event and also at the National points series.
